Kampot province is located in the Southwest of Cambodia with 80 km coastal strip along the Gulf of Thailand. The provincial capital is named Kampot and located near the base of the abundant green Elephant Mountains and the famous Bokor Hill Station.

It is also renowned for the quality of its fruits (durian, coconut, mango, etc.), its sea salt and famous Kampot black Pepper. Several other attractions includes pre-Angkorian ruins and caves, jungle trekking, bicycling tours, river cruises, island trips, fishing trips, isolated beaches, pepper plantations, bamboo train rides, etc. The eastern side is rich in low lands which is good for agriculture sector. It also has abundant of mountains and forests with a vast variety of wild animals in the west of the province. The southwest of the province is covered by coastline which is rich in natural resource, fisheries, farming and salt farms.
